Ethio Africa Youth and Green Legacy

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, and its impact is being felt worldwide, including here in Ethiopia. Rising temperatures, unpredictable rainfall, and soil degradation threaten both the environment and the livelihoods of millions. At EthioAfrica Youth & Green Legacy, we believe that taking proactive steps to preserve and nurture our natural ecosystems is not just an option—it’s a necessity. By focusing on reforestation, soil and water conservation, and biodiversity protection, we aim to mitigate the effects of climate change while fostering a greener, more sustainable future.

One of our cornerstone efforts is promoting the planting of indigenous trees and edible plants. These trees not only sequester carbon and combat deforestation but also provide food and economic benefits to local communities. However, planting trees is just the beginning. We work tirelessly to raise public awareness about environmental stewardship and to engage communities in taking responsibility for their local ecosystems.

Our initiatives include distributing saplings, organizing large-scale tree-planting campaigns, and partnering with experts to deliver training on sustainable agricultural and conservation practices. Youth play a vital role in these efforts, as we actively involve them in restoration projects to instil a lifelong commitment to environmental care. By collaborating with local and international stakeholders, we are also influencing policies and scaling up efforts to restore degraded lands, prevent further ecological damage, and combat the climate crisis head-on.
